On plexiglass, RainX will make it cloudy and your wipers you are planning will make it streaked. Lexan on the other hand is harder, shouldnt turn cloudy and wont streak as easy under the wiper blades. Also, plexiglass will turn brittle out in the sun in a very short time and turn cloudy just from the UV rays. It also cracks very easily. If you are going to make a windsheld, use Lexan instead of the plexiglass. All of our equipment has either glass or Lexan in it and we use rainx all the time because it helps keep the dust from accumilating on the windshield. We have also tried plexiglass in order to save a little money, but it was only a few weeks before we had to change it out due to scratches and getting cloudy.
