I got the dealer to admit the newer hemi's seemed to be more sensitive to drain down time than the older ones.
This tap is only at startup. A tap any other time is a problem waiting to happen. Have you had a good private mechanic look at your engine?
The dealership said two of my rockers were out of spec, too loose. So maybe production variances or just bad QC can aggravate this condition.
My truck only has 22k miles on it, am pretty sure this problem has existed since new. It runs great and even seems to be getting a little better fuel mileage now.
