Ramps for your ramps?

/ Ramps for your ramps? #21
Dodge man come to think of it we went to a local lowes store in Fairborn Oh and bought a 2x8x8 and cut it in half. We placed these at the top of ramp at rear of dovetail across trailer and that was just enough to get his car on. What an adventure.

What I've seen people do is just cut a couple of 2x10's, one shorter than the other and put those under the bottom of the ramps to reduce the loading angle. If you get fancy you bevel the leading edge to help the car climb over the edge of the board.

I've done this with some scrap wood. Worked good to get a Dodge Stratus on (and off) my trailer. Prior to that I loaded a similar car without ramps and ripped part of the exhaust off. Luckily it was going to the scrap yard.
