I tested a new 2005 Ranger yesterday and a Kubota again. I finally got to take a 2005 Ranger on the road yesterday and revisited the Kubota. One of the first things that pops out on the new 2005 Rangers is how quiet it is this year! And compared to the Kubota it is day and night different. In a nutshell the Kubota is really strong build and the Ranger is Smooth and Fast. As soon as the I can test the new 700 model Ranger I will make the choice. Also, the Kubota reminds me so much like my tractor when it bogs down I have to let off of the hydro to get the RPMS up again before it will start to move. Not sure I like that about the Kubota but, there were plenty of other things I did like.

Great to hear that Polaris has corrected the noise issue.
Re. bogging down, I saw your pictures of the homestead (nice place) but the terrain didn't look steep. Are you going elsewhere that's more hilly and causing the performance issue?
As I mentioned a couple months ago, the Ranger was my first choice until the RTV came out. For my particular needs (I have steep hills with winding trails that I need to bring loads of firewood down), the RTV's power steering and engine braking were the 2 things that tipped me over to getting the RTV.

You haven't seen behind the house back in my woods have you! I 've got some great logging trails that are really nice. Some of the trails are really steep and other are just full of boulders and rocks that require some clearance. The streams in the bottoms also provides some really fun adventures. We're not to far about probably 1 1/2 hours away. Just head west on 70. BTW what HEATLTHCARE and IT. What type of Healthcare?
I have an idea of where you but the topography changes so much in that area (hills to very flat), I couldn't tell what you have.
Sounds like our requirements are just the opposite. I need a machine for getting loads down a hill, you need one to get loads up.
Attached is a pic I just took of a section of the first hill I go up (after going through the creek at the end of the grass). If you don't have good braking/control when coming down (loaded with 1000# of wood), you're going swimming (after falling off the creeks 3-4' vertical bank). The RTV sold me when I came half way down this hill, took my foot off the pedal and stopped in place.
Pardon the junk in the view... still need to clean that up, but the black 20' pipes can give you an idea of how steep. The first 50' of trail goes up over 20' in elevation.
My (our... my partner owns the other 50%) company does computerized Patient Care, Patient Management and Patient Accounting systems for large healthcare institutions.
