It is just your personal opinion. No flame wars, no hurt feeling if your tractor is not listed first. Its kinda like a tractor beauty contest:laughing:

After those....John Deere antique tractors are really something to be desired. They just scream the word....Tractor.!!

That classic Raymond Loewy streamline design of the Farmall letter series grill and hood; it is just a thing of beauty.

While there are other nice looking tractors, there is just something about the flow of the lines on the ones above. With the loader off, I think my TC40D has nice lines, but not like those classic late 1930's designs.

I love that little LA Deere lawn mower. Nice colors and lines.

They were designs of form following function and I concur, things of beauty. It is interesting to see designs evolve in ways that are led by style motivations. I suppose some might argue that the drop nose styling prevalent in so many of todays models is an example of form/function thought processes, But imo, some of these manufacturers get carried away with the need for a "modern" look. If the tractor looks like an insect, I do not want it. If there is one thing that needed to look like it still belonged in the dirt rather than Santa Monica blvd, it is the tractor.

As pictures and other folks thoughts on tractors are posted, I keep coming back to a lot of tractors look nice by them selves. Once the loader is added though, it takes away from the clean lines of the original tractor. Again, I like the look of my TC40D when the loader is off; it has nice lines. Add the loader though, and it covers those lines up.

Grown men find beauty in things that women would never see I suppose, But I think that for me I really appreciate the style and lines of the John Deere 6115 D. Many JD's mirror the 6115, but I would be very pleased to own one, even though I may purchase a MF 2680 sometime early next year
