I have to agree those big IHs look nice. I'm partial to all red tractors though, including the Fords of the late '50s early '60s.

I think it would be easier for me to say which tractors I find ugly. I like them all. :D

Anywho, my favorite probably has to be the Farmall F-20. I love that unstyled look. The F-20 looks great in both the gray and red they were painted in (pre-November 1936 = gray; post-November 1936 = red). Not only do they look great I think they sound great, too.

As far as modern machines, go, it's hard to beat the Boomer 8N. I also like the Deere 3005/4005 tractors for their looks. They just look stout. The Deere Twenty series, NH Boomers, Case Farmalls, Kiotis, Kubotas, etc. all look great to me.

As I said, it's easier for me to say which ones are ugly. Even then I would have to think a while on that. :p

Although we never had one, I was always partial to them blue & white Steigers.

I'd have to vote for a Massey 135. Of course, I might be biased, do to this being the model of tractor I learned on, back when I was so light I had to stand up to press the clutch down. Many an hour was spent standing on the left side running board leaning against the fender riding with Dad doing various stuff around the homestead.

My favorite tractor is this wood burning steamer built by The (Daniel) Best Manufacturing Company in San Leandro, CA. The company was founded in 1871 and also built horseless carriages with a seven hp gasoline horizontal twin cylinder engine. They later merged with the Holt Manufacturing Company and later became the Caterpillar Tractor Company.
This particular turn of the century tractor was entered at our local antique tractor show for several years and the owner told me that in order to clear under all of the highway overpasses they had to remove the stack while transporting on the lowboy.
While I was taking the first photo, an old guy parade marshall (I was 61 at the time) yelled at me to "get out of the way or I'll be run over!". My camera lense was on a low telephoto setting, I was about twenty yards in front it and the tractor was cruising at about a half mile per hour.

Early 80's Ford 6600 and 6610. These were the tractors my uncle had on his farm in Rutland, Ma. I spent a many hours baling hay, chopping silage and spreading manure with these tractors. The tractors and my uncle are gone now but I will always remember the time spent with him on his farm.

Ford seems to do a lot of "buy the company out & rebdage with Ford stickers"...
No moreso than everybody else does now. In fact, prior to the FW series, the County tractors are the only rebadged Fords I can think of.

Also thought the White 2-1xx series with MFD looked bada$$ just sitting still:

I love JD 4020's and 5020's.
Of the new tractors JD, New Holland, Case, Kubota.
+1 The JD 4020 just looks like a tractor should look to me too. Until Chip Foose got ahold of one anyway LOL!

We maybe need to break this into eras or decades. There's just too darn many good looking ones.

Gota agree with you Ducktape, what a BEAST, I do love them. My neighbor is a dairy farmer and his land borders mine, he has 1486 or 1488, 1066, 966, they are doing no till and have duels on the 1486, what a pleasure to watch.

Even though I own orange, I love the look of the Massey's. That red is nice!

Going out to the garage now to rub the Bota to let her know I still love her :)
