I also use a hair dryer. It tends to make the decals more pliable and loosens the adhesive. I tried to remove some older decals on mine and they would just tear till I heated them up. Once heated, they peal right off. I used 3M auto trim adhesive remover to get the remaining adhesive off. If the machine has sat in the sun for awhile, the paint will probably be a different shade where the decal was. On mine, it didn't matter because I was replacing them with new ones. Hope this helps.
