I also use a hair dryer. It tends to make the decals more pliable and loosens the adhesive. I tried to remove some older decals on mine and they would just tear till I heated them up. Once heated, they peal right off. I used 3M auto trim adhesive remover to get the remaining adhesive off. If the machine has sat in the sun for awhile, the paint will probably be a different shade where the decal was. On mine, it didn't matter because I was replacing them with new ones. Hope this helps.

My dealer places very large stickers on my skid steer arms and i proudly display them because i want everyone to know where i got it!

I bought 3 new vehicles (pickups) in my life and told the dealers on the 2nd & 3rd if they want to adverise their business on MY vehicle it's $100 per month. Off went the stickers.

Got my tractor from Messick's, and have a couple of stickers on the FEL arms. They were great, unlike the New England dealers, so I hope that everyone sees where I got my tractor from and realizes that they have other options.

In fact, if they want to send me a hat, they can use my head for advertising space, as well! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Maybe I'm just different, but I never cared whether the tractor or my car had a dealer's sticker on it. Of course, all the years that I was on the police department, our bid specs specifically forbid a dealer's sticker on the police vehicles.
