Rant on shipping

that is a completely different rant topic! I just filled mine for 3 months. My co pays were close to $200 total. So I looked into goodrx. Found I could get it down to like $75 by switching to costco. I guess in 3 months I will do that.
That was a big beef with the prescription drug plans at work. People started really screaming loud when they found out they could get the same drugs for less without running it through insurance.

The other complaint was all of a sudden parents were finding their kids meds weren't being covered unless they jumped through hoops. Some of those parents had spent quite a bit of time getting their child with ADHD regulated correctly. It was a huge slap in the face to finally get their kid regulated correctly and to then be told a couple months later that the medication was no longer covered unless they started the process over again.

Since the company has over 10,000 employees across North America the benefits department was flooded with nasty grams.

I can't complain about drug costs. A cousin with degenerative kidney disease is going for his second transplant. One of the meds he needs will cost him $25000 for the first year after the copay... then his insurance will start kicking in more. One of the requirements for the transplant is that he demonstrate his ability to pay for the drug, otherwise they're wasting their time.

I am am on a 3 day trek south and a big change has occurred on the east coast highways. Where I used to see tractor trailers from JB Hunt, Schneider, Bowman and Roadway are now mostly replaced by Amazon Prime trailers pulled by private contractors. Still some UPS and FedEx trucks but interesting change nonetheless.

Most of my meds are generic and come by mail with no co-pay. If filled at a pharmacy, a 90 day supply costs me $4. Recently, testosterone gel has been deemed 'Hazardous' by USPS and can no longer be mailed. Silly

Probably afraid fumes make dem grow a set an dey be tempted to pick up a carrier bag.

I was giving myself arthritis shots every week for the last four years. The shots came in a box of four packed in a special cold pack box. Those shots were about $2600 each list price. That's $10,400 a month x 12 moths x 4 years. In round numbers, about a half a million dollars. I'm glad I didn't have to pay it. The drug companies have programs to aid "under insured" folks. They supplied the drugs and shipped it to my door for free. I didn't have to pay a dime--For that. I had to apply for the programs every year. Now's the time to do it. I'm surprised your cousin's doctor didn't mention it.

On the flip, why don't you give one of your kidneys to your cousin. My mom did that for my brother. She was 60 at the time. Mom will be celebrating her 95th birthday in January. My brother passed away at age 50 from other complications. He lived 30 years more than he was expected to at birth.

I'm on one for psoriasis thats $15,000 a dose first month was 3 doses, second and third months it was 2 doses, then it settled down to 1 shot every 4 weeks.

First year was $240,000. It's $180,000 a year after that.

Two words.

Coconut Butter.
Thats fine if it's just your knees. A little different when it's 90 percent of your body.

At some point you have to treat the hyper active immune system that causes it. There is also the debilitating psoriatic arthritis that accompanies some major outbreaks.

Trump was attempting to put limits on drug prices.
Guess that idea is gone forever ...now!
