That was a big beef with the prescription drug plans at work. People started really screaming loud when they found out they could get the same drugs for less without running it through insurance.that is a completely different rant topic! I just filled mine for 3 months. My co pays were close to $200 total. So I looked into goodrx. Found I could get it down to like $75 by switching to costco. I guess in 3 months I will do that.
The other complaint was all of a sudden parents were finding their kids meds weren't being covered unless they jumped through hoops. Some of those parents had spent quite a bit of time getting their child with ADHD regulated correctly. It was a huge slap in the face to finally get their kid regulated correctly and to then be told a couple months later that the medication was no longer covered unless they started the process over again.
Since the company has over 10,000 employees across North America the benefits department was flooded with nasty grams.
