OK now, put that thing to work with pictures/videos.

You can probably do quite a bit of work with that.

Looks nice! So what exactly are you going to use it for??? Looks like a good attachment...

Should work great for you. Let us know how it does. I have been eyeballing them up for a while now.

Wow. That looks interesting. You:laughing:'re not helping me narrow down my attachment choices!

A good many of the TSC's should have the Ratchet rakes in stock now.

When I emailed Ratchet Rake they said all Tractor Supply stores should have them by April, When I went to TSC on April 12th he said they got them in the day before.

I'd love to see some video of one of these being used by a CUT instead of a skid steer and one made my a TBN member, not the company. I know some folks have posted before and after pics around here somewhere already though. I'm really tempted. I went to my TSC on just about on April fool's day and when I asked about them, the worker thought I was asking about a hand rake. He had never heard of them but said their truck wouldn't be in for a few days. I was hoping to hear feedback from a flood of members who went out and bought them, so if you have, please report back.

TSC does have a liberal return policy. When I bought a 6' rear discharge finish mower and I wasn't sure if it was going to perform well the salesman said try it for a couple days and bring it back if you do not like it. Well, I bought it and love it and I will continue to try to purchase from TSC first just for that reason.

I found 2 for my GC but they are all over 50 miles away.:( My local TSC said it would be up to 4 wks before they could get one!:confused2: I may go and for a ride this weekend:D. It is supposed to rain much of it anyhow.

I was thinking about getting one but I think I'll fabricate something that will mount on the fork carrier I fabricated. I can remove the forks and make something similar with the teeth but it would be closer to the pivot point of the FEL which would give me more lifting power if I want to pull up bushes or small trees. Plus, I would be able to see through the carrier easier than the bucket.

The Ratchet Rake looks like a simple but efficient design though.

Just got home with my new Ratchet Rake. This thing is THICK! A full 1/2 of plate steel . I am going to mount tomorrow and take some pics. I am sure this will do what I need, looks pretty tough to bend.

I went down and checked TSC on Friday. They had the large model, and the small one, not the middle size. I will have a 66" bucket when my l3240 is delivered, so either the medium or large will work, but I don't think I would want the overhang that the large would have. Yes, it would help cover my tracks backing up, but I think I would have more force and control to get into tight places (in between trees at the edge of the woods I'm thinking). Any thoughts on the size? Can anyone who has one tell me if bigger is better?

TSC employees still have no clue what the thing is. They couldn't tell me when they might have the Goldilocks size.

I must be getting over attachment-itus because that thing doesn't look very useful to me. I'd save my money for a york rake, a tooth bar, or a grapple.

I was thinking about a tooth bar too, but after looking around, this would suit my needs better. It's all in what you need to do. Since I have so much brush to clean up this was cheap enough to try before getting a grapple or tooth bar. I can be used as a "york rake" too from what it looks like. For $300 I think it is an attachment that will find many uses for me:thumbsup:.

Clearing brush is a pain no matter how you approach it. Unless you have a dumpster you can put it in with all the dirt that comes up with it. I've been burning in piles for years thinking it was the fastest way, but since I got my pto chipper I'm convinced that's the way to go. Just deal with it once, and have the chips as well.

Yeah, there is no easy way get rid of brush unless you have one of these: :D
