Re:Case930/730 loaders

Hi, new to forum, any help would be greatly appreciated! I've got an old case 930 that's not starting, I found a good running case 730 that I was thinking of picking up if I could easily swap out the loader off the 930 (I figure a gas acerage tractor probably easier to maintain than the big desiel anyways). I can't go measure it up to see what kind of mods would need to be done to make it work as the 930 is about 900km away from me now...any insight? Thank you.

Re: Case930/730 loaders

I would guess that it would depend on what loader it is and how it mounts. I looked in my Westendorf catalog and it lists some of the same models for both the 730 and 930 so the tractor dimensions must not be a lot different. The Westendorfs would be a quick attach and I suspect yours is not though. I spent a lot of hours on a 930 when I was a kid (40+ years ago). I have owned an 830 but have never been around a 730. I prefer diesels to gas tractors myself. My 830 was gas. It really liked gas. But it would start no matter how cold it was.

Yesterdays Tractors is a great site for tractors of that vintage. I would guess that CaseNutty has both of those models in his yard.
