I had a regen problem with my XR4046. Took it to my dealer and the dpf injectors were burned out. He found the fuel return line was kinked off where it goes back into the fuel tank, a design flaw. He moved the tank a little bit forward to allow the line to go straight into the tank.

It was getting dark when I was hosing the screen off that day. It had been partially obstructed in the past and I haven't cleaned it in a while. Today I serviced the air filter and checked all fluids. The antifreeze overflow was empty and the radiator took maybe a pint or so. I haven't noticed any leaks....maybe it was running a bit warm.

One thing to note is that if I turned it off and restarted, the red indicator light would go off but the one regen light would remain. After a little while the second regen light comes on and when the cycle should be complete, thats when the red indicator would come on....along with the single regen light. Another thing is that it's never gone into limp mode. I'll be moving some dirt tomorrow, I'll see how she responds and will keep an eye on the temp gauge. Thanks for your suggestion.

That's a smart dealer to figure it out and then fix yours.

You are welcome. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Just a thought....is it possible that your engine had overheated at the same time you went into regen? I had a similar situation early on and took a pic of the dash at the time to show the tech and then realized after looking more closely at the picture that my coolant temp had pegged out. Checked the radiator screen, and sure enough, it was completely covered with debris. The high coolant temp is what set off the red caution indicator and it was just a coincidence that it happened at the same time as my regen.

Cleaned the air filter, the radiator screen, and topped of the antifreeze. Today, it cycled two or three times with the red indicator but all of a sudden, it went back to normal. Very happy, saved me a trip to the stealer...I mean dealer.

Hey, that's great. Will hope that resolves it. One thing I have learned about LS is that they move a lot of air through the radiator which means it is drawing a lot of air in (and a lot of dirt/debris). More so than any tractor (of any color) that I have ever owned. Requires more attention on the part of the operator, but I am perfectly fine with that.

My previous XR4046 did similar a couple of years ago.

I disconnected the battery then reconnected it causing the control computer to “reboot”. I started the tractor and forced a “regen” cycle. The cycle completed as normal and never had that problem again.

mjstef,
Have you been able to find anyone that does a DPF Delete for your tractor?
I have the New Holland Boomer 37, which is essentially the exact same tractor....I'm having all kinds of Regen and DPF issues. They actually had to replace the DPF Filter last year. Its extremely frustrating and becoming extremely expensive!
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

Good Luck To You.

At this time i am STILL having emission issues with my XR3037C I have owned it a little over 4 years and it has been worked on 8 separate times. I was hoping for a buyback as they have 4-5 early gear drive units bought back and sitting in California but due to company restructuring they are no longer buying back tractors. Their only answer is either trade it or keep throwing parts at it until it's out of warranty and then the POS is on me. In the last 3 weeks, the midwest area dealer rep quit, The western area manager was let go and the midwest area manager was let go. I'm to the point that i'm just going to troll their facebook page and bad mouth them here until i'm ether out of warranty or something is done. Wish i would have bought a Mahindra..........

Yeah we are around 21-2200ft here. I figured around a 5-10hp gain between loosing the restriction of the dpf and giving it some boost. I've been meaning to get a boost guage on it to see where it's at. I run a 7ft snowblower with it and it has no problem at all. The rise in torque is quite impressive.

Can you send me a link to who has throttle cables? I would want to have the foot feed work as well because mine is a gear drive. Did you leave the ECU hooked up???
