I turned in the credit app on 8/16 and the JD saleman didn't submit it untl 8/20 and called me this morning to arrange delivery. I told him to hang on that I was now looking at the Kubota L3130DT which I like as much as the JD 4310. I missed this model during my searches and was glad I found it before buying the JD. I still like JD but I can save over 2K and get more tractor. The dealer I'm buying from sells both JD and Kubota and said 6 years ago he would have bought the JD but Kubota has raised the bar and now recommends it over the JD.

You're not getting more tractor. Compare HP. If you wanted an equivalent tractor you should have bought the 3430. Poof, there goes much or all of your savings.

I didn't miss that L3130 whin I was shopping, and I still don't!
Not that its not a great tractor. When I bought mune the Deere was LESS than the Kubota. I would have still gone with mine if the Kub was less.

JD is nice but most of the tractor is made in Japan next door to the Kubota factory ( I heard they eat lunch together). I still like JD but they need to lower the price some. My savings total is approx. $2300 and operating these 2 tractors around the lot the Kubota feels larger and more stable. This is my first large tractor and I would be the owner of the JD if the salesman had been more attentive selling the tractor. Besides I'm thinking of painting the Kubota JD green when I get it.
