Well , your not really worth the energy to argue with . you been negative against the machine. since the day you bought it.
I dont recommend anyone do what i did. no , i dont think its safe.
but i needed to move it. as runner said. 1000 pounds 8 or 9 inches over a truck bed sounds about right. but the info your saying is wrong.
if you are struggleing with 725 right off a trailer. something is wrong.
or eather your a sissy and scared to push it. I bought the machine to use.
and i do what needs doing. folks can make there own judgements.
but when someone says it will struggle with 725. i had to step in. heck a 2305
will do that. you been a trouble maker since you been here. and you ant worth argueing with. i will let folks decide for there self. I know what i have done with it. and i know what you say you done with . and what you done. dont seem to add up. i am done with this conversation..

Chris...:)

Just for counter point, since I have the same loader.

I lifted a 450 lbs. rotary cutter out of my Dodge dually with bucket forks  using my JD 2305. Had plenty of lift power, but not enough ballast using my 4 ft. box blade.:D

I love my 2520. :)
I've had time's when a larger machine would have been nice.

The reason I purchased the 2520 was because of the compact size.
It fits many places a larger machine can't.
And it has excellent hydraulics for the size.

That being said, if you have any doubt the 2520 is too small.
Get a larger machine. Don't risk your safety and damage to the machine.

Regarding (safely) lifting to full height....

I use my bale fork (in place of the bucket) and can safely lift large square hay bales and stack them 3 high. Farmer tells me they're 850-900lbs in weight. Approx dimensions are 3X3X8'. I don't think I'd be able to lift any more weight than that to full height (safely, that is).

I tried lifting a round bale (approx 1150-1200lbs) and could only lift it about 18" off the ground.

Ya Gord , i agree. but a round bail really sets way out over the front.
way passed the pivot pins. so i agree. that would be a stretch.

Just to chime in from the perspective of a 2320 owner... I never contemplated the 2520, since I was coming from a 15hp Kubota. But now that I've owned the machine for a month, I'm wishing I had those 2.5 extra horses and increased hydraulics. I'd hate to see you come back here in 30 days and wish you had gone with the 3000 series instead. It's a tale that's been told too many times on this website. Think like you're in the Navy: the 3000 series is on your radar and it's not like it's going to go away by ignoring it!

Yap Karman it may be so. I drove a new L39 , and just fel in love.
it has so many nice fetures. and Hydraulic power is just unreal.
considering the 110. but it dont have the nicer fetures.
i have not made a decition yet. but i am leaning that way...;)
it is an amazing machine.

Chris,

Wasup! did you lift something heavy and bumped your head ?That L word is a bad word . The 110TLB has that fit , finish and weight needed for heavy work. Plus the creeeep position is a must with a hoe!

I know you have it in ya, cut yourself ,you bleed green like the rest of us.

If you go the other side, you still will be green.

I just might have a touch of red .....:p
I just like that swivel seat. auto leveler. and tilt steering on the L39
and starting to like shuttle shift. , its got to be good. its on all
big case and JD 310 hoes.

Dont worry , I will never leave my JD roots. i just may diversify a bit....:D

I will admit the swival seat is nice , I have a power reverser in my 4310 and I love it for the speed, the hydrostat in the 110Tlb I ordered will probably take some getting use to.
I was goining to take a look at orange, I did in 2003 before I purchased my 4310 price wise and fit just never seemed to compare. I deal with a lot of offshore companies in the electronic business and support and service is never the same as a American own corporation.
That comment may cause a stink on this forum , and yes I know many parts on a JD are off shore, but all the r&d that brings a product to market ,ship plus provide service and parts in a proffesional manner with a corporation as large and old as John Deere is something in todays world. Also if you look back orange in the past was cheaper in price, now the price gap is non-existant with apples to oranges. Same in many other markets. The cost of equipment today is crazy , the 110TLB I ordered is more than my first house in 1990! The labor force overseas is so much cheaper than here, so why is the margin between green and orange so close? Somebody overseas is making $$$$$.
