I tested the limits on my loader yesterday and was a little dissapointed. I have a 3130, loaded tires and a 723 loader. Specs suggest 1800 lbs at the pivot. I tried unloading a 2000 lb pallet of glass sand, yes I removed about 6 bags before even trying.
The bottom line was I could move about 1000 lbs on a pallet. I suspect it could be more if I stacked the bags closer to the bucket but with them equally covering a 4x4 area in front of the bucket, that's all ya get. The limiting factor was piston power, not rear weight.
I'd guess that means you could fill the bucket with nearly anything and be good to go.

Somewhere I read that the capacity is measured at the pivot point in the bucket. A load further out will change the fulcrum and gravity adds something to the whole thing as well.

On my B2910 I have picked a tree that was laying about on the pivot point. It lifted the rear wheels of the tractor off of the ground with a 72" rear blade and filled tires. My loader will pick up more than the tractor can handle with my rear blade as a counter weight.

The Kubota web site shows the LA723 lift capacity at 500mm forward as only 1400 lbs. and 1587 lbs. at bucket center. If you add the 4x4 pallet to the mix, seems your creating a fulcrum that would lessen the loaders capacity. Kinda like using a cheater bar on a stubborn bolt to break it loose.
