rear 3 pt wont lift?

Thanks -- I did a bit of research and found that a NAPA 1553 would appear to fit and is 30 Microns instead of ten. Still not the wide open 120 plus but does seem to be better. Do you happen to have specs for the strainer (thread size and gasket size etc) -- cannot find them on Northerns website. Northern also no longer has a Canadian web site and contact number so Yukon and I might have some difficulty and certainly high freight to get the strainer so an interchange would be fantastic
regards

That's what I don't know ... the thread. I'll have to check but I think (guessing from memory) it's 3/4-16? My tractor is at my rural property so ...
Perhaps Ron has access to his?
BTW, do you know what the thread on the Jinma suction housing is? If it fits that Napa 1553 filter, what is the thread on it?

EDIT
I looked up the FPE30-100M filter replacement and got this chart.
Filter Cross Chart
Then went to the Tech Data here TECH DATA and found a cross reference. Looks like it is a 125 Micron strainer and it has a 1" - 12 UNF thread on it. I know that one fits my housing since that's what's on it.

Napa says thread on 1552 and 1553 is 1-12. Cannot find any cross reference for Northerns 4015 number or details on the specs.

Thanks Rob -- certainly looks like the answer - had not seen that Xref before --will see if I can find other numbers now and if not will go with Northern. Interestingly if you look at the Buyers website they list a number of filters (have not found yours yet) where the micron rating is not greater than 30. It appears when used on the suction side the flow rate is cut to about one third (I.E 15 GPM goes to 5)

Glad I could help you.
I'll bet if you called Napa or your local parts store and gave them the strainer number they could cross reference to something they can get. Just be sure it's a strainer filter.
After reading that chart myself, I was surprised to see my replacements were 125 micron strainers ... I thought they would be 149 like the original? But it works and does not hamper the suction flow nearly as much as 10 micron would.

One other thing I did was get some really strong magnets and machined them so they fit my filter cannister bottoms. The OEM internal strainer had a magnet in it that collected tiny steel shavings. When I would clean it, there was always some microscopic shavings I had to remove off the magnet. I thought that was a good idea so I decided adding a magnet to the filters would help a little? I put one on the oil filter and hydraulic strainer. Can't hurt, right?

Ok just on the horn with WIX and Baldwin filters I'll let you know what I find out.

Yukon
Thanks for the Lubri finer lead. There is probably a Donaldson match up but not sure what it is. There is a page called Jinma tips that has a whole bunch of xref info -- not sure how accurate it is.
Based on some of the moisture lumps that came out of my 2006 284 when I flushed it to put in AW32 shortly after I got it I am not surprised the filter was plugged. At that time I replaced the filter with one that came with it. Real improvement in the hydro response! From what I have read, the switch to a strainer type filter will probably help things even further.
Does yours still have the screen under the seat as well?

This was discussed a long time back, when Jinma first started shipping tractors witht the spin-on strainer. I don't think anyone ever published a cross ref number for a domestically available strainer.

I don't have a spin-on strainer. I thought about making that modification, but instead installed one designed to screw into a NPT bung in the side of a resovoir. I found a short one at Northern Tool, that I could put in the same place as the stock brass screen was in the reservoir.

There are some schools of thought that say to do away with the strainer all together, to reduce restriction into the pump, and that a fine(10 micron) return line filter is more important. If the reservoir is clean, and you take steps to filter the air vent and keep the moisture under control, with the use of a properly configured return line filter processing 100% of the oil, there should never be anything in the reservoir for the strainer to catch. Unfortunatly with the multiple return paths to the reservoir on the 200 series Jinmas, filtering 100% of the return oil is not possible without considerable modifications to the plumbing.
