Didn't mention what the driveway was dirt with grass or gravel or paved, however between the teeth on a landscape rake would leave a lot of residue unless you have some sort of blade or mold board at the bottom.
Rear blade for snow on gravel, pipe or rubber mat?

Lots of great ideas, thanks! With some "unevenness" to the gravel drive, I would think grader blade shoes would still have me shaving high points of gravel if not frozen. I guess I'm still leaning towards the steel pipe on the blade, or below the blade with welded tabs for mounting through bolt holes. I was thinking of 2" or 2.5" O.D. pipe so as not to be too small. Anyone go bigger pipe than 2.5"?

The larger the pipe the less likely to scrape gravel.
However, the larger the pipe the more snow it will pack down and ride over.

What works really well is 'edge tamers'. Very clever product!
They clamp on and are affordable.
Just like adding a pair of skis.
a pair on a 4 ft bucket or perhaps 3 on wider ones.
I DIY'd a pair for my 60" snow blower and never need to rake any gravel anymore.

- Kioti DK5010 with KL5510 Loader & 72" Bucket. Kawasaki Mule Pro MX SE with 66" snow plow.
I use three 3" Edge Tamers for my 72" loader bucket. Two at sides plus 1 in middle to prevent scalping. Have a lot of uneven areas. Works very well. R2Manufacturing has been xlnt to work with. Can also get handy extensions to carry logs, etc. with. I use them for some things in the summer as well.
