Another nice addition to the box blade is to add a hitch receiver to it. Makes it convenient to move a trailer without having to remove the box. I guess you could even use it to haul one of those hitch mounted carriers with additional weight in it if you feel you need it.

You are a lot more creative then I am!!! I just poured concrete to make a 1,200 pound counter weight. The difference is night and day better.

It's a lot easier to use if you have a hydraulic top link. You can also put a FEL bucket on the 3pt adapter and scoop up a load of gravel for ballast.

I sometimes do this when moving material around. I can carry a load with a bucket on the FEL, and another with the one on the 3pt. Saves a lot of trips if you're moving material any distance.

I do have a hydraulic toplink. I briefly considered a 3 point to ssqa adapter when I needed to move an empty 40' shipping container, but 1/2 of the container still exceeded my rear lifting capacity.
Beyond that I never really considered the numerous other uses.
