Nice pile of hand made weights. When I saw it I was thinking something like those rectangles from a weight machine.

Then... jumped a bit. Perhaps if one had a 2" round bar one could load it up with 20kg or 45lb cast iron free weight discs if one could find them cheap.
I'm not young for sports anymore 🤣

This is how it's done! The first three or four piles are driven using an excavator attachment.
I'm not actually sure how they do it now. 40 years ago when they first started, it was all done with a vibratory attachment suspended by a crane, and powered by a standalone engine/hydraulic pump. Some of these sheets are 40' long/tall. It would take a very large excavator to handle those.

A 3/4" black iron pipe is basically 1" ... That's what I used, and it just happens to slide through my BH frame mounts, the biggest weight plates I use are 25 Lbs, with a 1" center ...

Of course you could go with a bigger pipe if you wanted to use the QH to hold it, but my main purpose for this is with a rear blade, that when being used, all that weight is on the ground, I needed more TRACTION!

Yes, well, you were using your baby tractor to do a job it was never intended to do. Of course, you have always found a way to do lots with little.

But a word of warning: never share your TBN profile with a potential buyer of that baby if you ever decide to sell it šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚šŸ¤£

Interesting.

Here in the USA I believe it's called "sheathing" or "sheeting". One of my brother-in-laws used to be in the gasoline pump and tank installation business, and ended up using this on his sites. Today, ALL he does is install and remove the sheets for other contractors.
I have only known it as sheet pile here in the PNW. It's nice to learn a new name for it and a little bit of history about it also.

During the winter snow removal, the front loader was overbalanced and the rear wheels were slipping. I welded a basket for the rear hitch and placed 20-millimeter plates cut from Larsen tongue into it. The work became more enjoyable.
I just put a heavy duty 9 foot blade on the back of my oliver 1800. Got chains I should use . But at 120 lbs a real chore to put on by myself !!

Larsen's tongue is a special metal profile with locks that is driven into the ground and connected into a solid wall. The technology was developed in the early 20th century by the German engineer Larsen.
Features:
Visually resembles a trough with rounded side edges, which are the locks.
Due to the locks, the products can be connected into a single tongue wall.
I cut the plates from the part outlined in red. Ordinary 3-grade metal
Very interesting

I am too lazy to cut out the flat parts. Seeing as the stuff nests well, I would have made a bigger box to hold the sections

See you are from Russia so a special welcome to you. I got to know a Russian on a shooting forum and we have communicated a bit since the war with Ukraine and the sanctions. He lives not far from Moscow.

It was interesting to get the perspective of a normal man about the situation.

One thing that politicians and media ignore is that people are people and we have much in common.

Again, welcome.
