JJ, you may know the answer right off. So me having marginal mechanical skills saw instructions on how to rebuild a wheel motor. Not easy but not that difficult. Doesn't look like it needs any specialized tools or equipment but maybe I am mis reading it. I wonder if it is the same for a steering control? I am very nervous about pulling it apart and bearings falling all over the floor and little pieces going away and nothing lining up and having to use that $6000 press to put it all back together.

No, I have look at the part manual, but never tore one apart.

I am not JJ but do you mean reseal or rebuild? We reseal them quite a bit and replace parts when worn. But to actually rebuild/remachine something requires a lot of tooling and measuring tools. It is not a big deal to reseal them but there is a few parts you need to keep track of. Get a exploded view before you tear it apart. Is it a geroter style or piston? CJ

Need to get a part # and a mfg then we can figure it out.

Hydraulic motors are not that complicated, but you do need to keep everything very clean. I have
not seen any with loose ball bearings. Thrust bearings and ball bearings mostly seem to be
assemblies.

Here is a new Charlynn motor I bought and opened. I like to do that if it is supplied by a non-dealer
to make sure that it is clean inside. This is the "gearotor" style.

If you need a press for the bearings (I prefer a press to a hammer), then a cheapo HF 20T works fine.
That is what I use.

I do not know what the PT uses to control steering, but CUTs use a rotary valve which I have yet
to service.
