I forgot about the justins. I believe some are also made in china. I bought a pr of steel toed justins a few yrs ago and didn't find them any less $ than the redwings I have bought

I would like a steel toed option for chain-sawing and working outside so I am interested in what this thread reveals...

Be well,
David

Check out Labonville and Matterhorn's and Vikings for chainsaw boots. If you run a saw much, the Kevlar lining is worth having in there. Way more protection than just steel-toe.

The guy Wranglerstar on Youtube went through the process of ordering custom boots on his channel a few months ago. Was quite a process with templates and measurements at specific places. Then there was at least one test pair sent for trial. I was very impressed. In his latest update on using them he was still loving them.

I cant remember the maker, but he was in the USA. The info is on Wranglerstar;s channel. He seems like a honest guy so if he says he like the boots, he likely does.

Ive always had issues with standing on my feet for hours. Custom boots may be the answer. Someday I think I might give it a try.

I just bought chaps from Labonville and I was lusting after the boots also. LOL...

Thanks,

I just ordered a pair in April they didn't stock the model I bought. But they are made in the USA dated February 14. Cant blame them for not stocking them. The majority of Americans do not value products made in their own country instead they settle for cheaper imports. TSC as well as many other chains have experimented with imported from china v American made next to each other. The masses choses the cheap one made by communist time and time again.
I bought a pair of china carhart boots for $180 not even 2 years because the model of redwings I had worn for 5 years and resoled twice was now made in china. Carharts fell apart in one year. Needless to say I went back and bought a US made metguard redwings boot for $315

Go to Red Wings website. It is the best and lets you go to "Import", or "Made in USA with Imported Components" or "Made in USA" Pick what you want. Just bought a new pair of "914"s.

Made in USA, 8" waterproof, $275.00

Red wing store in Rochester mn stocks USA made boots along with imported. I buy USA made boots. Wish more people would care so more products were made here. Most people just don't care. Sad....

I wear my Justins pretty much every day on the farm. Dayton is a Canadian made boot that is super quality, last you 2 lifetimes, but pricey as well. I have a pair of them for the motorcycle which were also daily wearers for many years. Nice boot.
