About two acres of my property had large holes and ditches for no reason so I disked the property till out was smoothed out. Now my problem is that the property has many rocks ranging from 1" diameter to 12"diameter. What is the best way to get these picked up? Is there an implement I can rent to help assist me or am I SOL and have to pick them up by have?

After the rocks are picked up I plan on rolling the ground and seeding.

Only attachments have are box blade and front end loader.

find yourself an old box spring. Drag it across the ground and it will collect up the rocks. When you get to one side, lift the spring, move it over one width and start dragging it back the other way. You will have a long pile of rocks down each side of your field but at least they are all collected in one spot. You can then pick them up with the fel.

Last spring i put my lawn in after the dozer was done doing its thing. I also have 2 acres that i seeded. First i started doing it by hand with an iron rake. Lasted for a couple hours and had had enough. Next i had a tractor with a york rake. It did work pretty well but you still have to go back and pick up the rows of rocks.
Next i rented a skidsteer with a rock hound. Now that is the cats a** at picking up rocks. Would not do it any other way. You have alittle learning curve using it at first but once you get it figured out it's the best thing i have found to date. Good luck with your project. :drink:

I am currently doing the same thing on my property, I was able to find a York rake locally for 600.00 to pull behind the BX23. I tried it yesterday and am very happy with it. Although any time you use any power equipment you still have some elbow work involved. But at least I can get them to one location for easier FEL work or hand picking.
Mine has a Scarfier on the front and a grading blade to fill in low spots combine with independently adjustable caster wheels if I need to establish a grade pitch. I would imagine some of the bigger ones may need to be hand picked though, although the scarfier did flip and unearth some large ones yesterday.
This one is almost identical to mine:

Thanks for the comments. Next time I'm home for the weekend I'll look into these processes.

I have a landscape rake I will try to use when I'm home next.
