Mowing Removing Output shaft from Omni gearbox on Kodiak Cutter

I am having a real problem getting the output shaft out of my cutter's gearbox so I can change a bad bearing. I have taken off the input shaft and it appears (the parts diagram shows this too) that the output shaft should slide out of the case going to the outside.

However, I have done everything I know and can't get it loose. I soaked it with Blaster and put a porta power type spreader on it and tapped it a few times. Diagram doesn't show a retaining ring and the bottom cap (which I took off) normally holds the bearing cup in place. It is a 90Hp gearbox on a 10" heavy duty Kodiak cutter- their gearbox parts breakdown shows it as model GB-90, but it looks like a generic Omni model 401-0170.

I bet there are 50 guys on here right now that have had to remove these shafts and can give me advice on breaking that thing loose. I can sure use and would appreciate the advice.

Well, I have not taken the gearbox you have apart, but I would first look really closely for a
retaining ring. If none, it is possible your bearing seized and spun on the shaft, buggering up
the shaft (or housing).

Thanks, No retaining ring. Bearings loose but no shaft damage visible. The outer bearing cup has to be pressed on, so possibly will need more pressure to push it off. I will try heating case and see what happens?
