2003 new holland tc 33
I have a tc33 that I just replaced the head gasket. Got it started and now has a bit of a miss. Will start and run but low on power . I do have a injector that has a slight leak going to replace all of the copper washers this week. Could it be that injector sucking air or what else? I looked everthing over the head was decked and inspected by machine shop. Now idles very low but doesnt stall like at 750 rpm?

Did you adjust the valve lash & position per spec after reinstalling the head?

I found one of my fuel lines at the pump was not fully tightened and it was sucking air. Valve lash was checked. I still have my over heating problem though.

Water pump? May be time for a replacement.

Have you checked that you are getting the full stated amount of coolant into and out of the system? (Maybe you have a blockage?)

Worst case, maybe a cracked block? Does the coolant appear to be building too much pressure?

Not sure about the water pump its not leaking are the propeller plastic? Did not see any cracks in the block. Going to pull rad and send it to rad shop.

I missed some of the earlier post on overheating of your tractor. Could you explain how you came to that conclusion? Temp gauge, etc.
I have a tc33d, have owned it from new, I have to clean radiator and oil cooler frequently to keep temp gauge out of the red. Usually use power washer and simple green to clean fins out.

boils over easy anytime mowing. i also power wash rad but pulled it out yesterday and it was very dirty on the fan side with oil and crude build up and backed on grass. Rad shop will boil it. So i am pretty sure that is my problem. From the outside it looked clean!

Let us know if that resolves the problem.

the radiator cleaning did the trick gauge sits in the middle of the first green block. Even runs a bit better not being so hot. I wish I would of done this sooner

That is great news. I was thinking of doing that on mine also, now you convinced me to get it done.

a lot of the blockage was at the bottom, it was full of oily crude. Took me a minute to figure it out but after multiple leaking oil cooler elbows was the source of the oil crude which i think most of us has experienced or at least on the 33's the elbows would not last. I have since replaced with updated steel tubes.

The metal cooler elbows are they a New Holland repair kit or is some thing you made? Can you post a picture of them? I am on my third set of elbows and the dealership has not mentioned any upgraded parts to me.
