We had a Sodium light where I worked years ago and i hated it. Needed to spray paint thing red all the time and it was very hard to do a good job in the yellowish light. A Co-worker said he heard that Law enforcement did not like the yellow lights because blood drops were hard to see. Went thru several expensive fixtures and different types of lights that would only last a year or so and replacement bulbs would not fix it. Ended up buying a LED fixture 6 or 7 years ago and have been very happy with it. It was about 100 bucks as recall. Put up a new light in another spot this year for 15 bucks on clearance from Lowes. They put out plenty of light for me but I am not trying to illuminate an arena or similar.
