But of course the high fuel prices look good on the gummit statistics about economic recovery /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Its crazy. you can drive around the block and save .20 a gallon so you know darn well its not a supplier issue /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Its literall gone up every day since the power came back on. Good Grief, Talk about milking the cow for every last drop. Can you see me shaking my wallet upside down ?? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Be thankful.

Regular unleaded - cheap stations are 2.19, most are 2.29-2.49
Diesel - 1.79-1.99. It has been less than a week since regular unleaded was cheaper than diesel. I suspect that diesel will go up once they have to buy more.

Funny how two stations less than a half mile away from each other can be 25-30 cents a gallon different. Just cause one is visable from the freeway.

Well here I think there just trying to make a few extra bucks to cover the outage as they couldn't get away with the price gougeing like after 9-11. Many of them got prosecuted here. Hang em high ! lol Believe me were watching the prices in the west. I'm gonna get my piggy bank out soon in anticipation of the new increases ! Dave

It's all about greed, pure unadulterated GREED . For years in this area the price went up every Thursday about noon and came back down on Sunday afternoon. There was no reason for it, they just did it because they could get away with it. Makes me mad. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Fivestring,

Here in the Triangle of NC my local station has been holding
at 1.44 for diesel. Two stations on my way to the property
are holding at 1.49. The station I usually stop at, the low
priced one, /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif deliberately keeps his price low to get
contractors to stop for food and fluids.

FYI,

I was able to get off road diesel today for $1.249. But the Gas is going up, its $1.599, at most stations.
