Ha! I didn't even notice that you owned a Gravely until you said something. I need to pay more attention to peoples info!
Thanks. The 8123 used to be my grandfather's. I fixed it up, added some LED lights, and replaced the PTO clutch. Last year I built a completely custom hydraulic system for it (still uses stock pump). I completely restored the snow blower and plow and added hydraulics to both. Lots of work but it makes it so easy to use now. No manual adjusting of anything. Not to get any more off topic from the original post, but are you a member of the GTOA?

No, not a member. Not much of a joiner, really. I rarely even post on these forums, even though I read a lot of them trying to learn stuff.

How much land do you plan on purchasing?

I don't really know yet. Kinda depends on what's out there when I'm ready to buy and prices. Downsizing house, upsizing shop/barn (one car garage doesn't cut it) and room to roam around without neighbors being too close. I don't have any illusions of becoming a farmer or anything.

Functionally the biggest difference between the two is loader capacity. The RK24 will lift 330 lbs more than the RK19 (more than half again as much as the RK19). That is going to be important to you if you are removing trees or moving rocks around. There is some difference in the size finish mower you can run, but it isn't that significant. Both will run a 4 foot brush hog, although the RK24 will be happier about it. For a lot of homeowners the RK19 would be more than sufficient, but if you need to do some real tractor work the RK24 would be the one. It punches a bit above it's weight class. The RK19 is definitely built stronger than a riding mower, but it is a lot closer to that than a utility tractor.

Well said! The loader capacity is significantly different. The RK24 is a beast.
