down here we're all no-till, so no plowing, just chisel and disc, and most of the time, it's just discing.

Allen in texas,
Index of Manuals
May be this is what you mean.

There's alot of the old manuls here if you need one.

I've got a set of these all complete. My other tractor was to big for them to work right ,but they did got the job done just not pretty. It looked like the hair on a dogs back all raised up.

good luck with your search
Rick

Wow!
This was a productive visit this morning.

Good morning all.

Thanks Deanbro. The two bottom rollover is a nifty looking piece. I wish there was somewhere here in the states that I could put an eyeball on one.
I converted all the weights and measurements to good ole U.S. so I could understand them.
:)

We are no till/ minimum till here too for the most part.
Farmers will deep break every 4 or 5 years, depending on what they grew the past season and there has been a lot of breaking going on lately because everyone is putting in drip irrigation.
There is also a lot of ripping to break up the hard pan. Once the drip is in, the deep stuff will go away but...

I want this plow for a bit of a different reason than full size farming.
I've already got two people that want me to plow a small plot for them for a garden and then till it after I plow. The land is "new" in that it has never been cultivated and is in grass and I need to turn that under before I till.
I just don't have a plow.
I looked at several this weekend and they are all too large and heavy.
ie cat II, three bottoms and no way to easily convert them to cat I or two bottom

I have found a cat1 Ford with 14 inch bottoms.
I want it. Just not enough $$$.

Did anyone ever find an importer to the US ?
I know, it was over a year ago and the O/P seems to have found something used....
Anyway, there is a price list on the Italian web page and you have to register to access it.
As part of the registration process they ask for location; down to State level within the USA, so I'm wondering if a regional sales dude will be sending me junk e-mail in the next few micro-seconds.

Reg, I did indeed find a plow, an old Ford. I have another thread about it somewhere. :) I also have pics of it although not very good pics now on every post I make.
I guess I should take some better ones and put them up.

I had another thread about KUHN and Overum plows that can be had in the US if you have enough money.

Try about 10 grand for either brand in a two bottom.

I would think that there would be an import market for a reasonably priced plow for all of the people like me here in the U.S.

I've since found several overseas makers of small plows like this but there is no U.S. distributors that i can find.

Thanks for the update.
I will continue to pursue Aldo Biagioli for a US (or Canada) distributor.
With the state of the various economies around the world maybe they are looking for more outlets and importers are looking for more product lines ? Maybe...
Maybe someone like Woodhouse would be interested (?)

NICE, but too big for me and a bit more than I want to pay.

Ummmm; a dumb question, but I might just as well ask it.
Looking through the specs of the various Aldo Biagioli plows it SEEMS that (for a given horse power) a single turns over almost the same width as a double or a triple.
Am I reading this right ?

I guess it makes sense, since the power required probably depends on the total cutting width and speed, but I had been carrying around the notion that a double, triple or quad would turn over n times the amount of soil per pass.
Right now I'm thinking that a wide single would be a lot cheaper, lighter and easier to handle in tight quarters, e.g. for anyone who wanted to turn over small back yard garden plots.

I registered on the Aldo Biagioli site and downloaded their price list.
I also asked about importation to USA, but havn't yet received a reply about that.
If I could get their stuff here for their European prices I would.
I am kinda/sorta re-learning a few words of Italian as I browse the price list, that alone makes the effort worthwhile, fortunately there are PICTURES in the price list.

I downloaded the catalog pages from their website for each model, and found that they had three languages on each page. You might be able to match back from the pricelist to the catalog pages to get more information.

Thinking more generally about reversible plows, I don't think I have ever seen a reversible disc plow.
With all the ingenuity that is around I just have to believe SOMEONE has made one, maybe not a "production", but at least a prototype or home built.

Rollovers have their reversing axis horizontal in line with the tractor, but I think a reversible disc plow could be built with it's reversing axis vertical.

Go get a saucer or soup bowl from the kitchen, stand it on edge, swivel it around...
See what I mean ?
OK, now imagine two or three of them in line (-:

It would be a lot less hardware, no duplicate left/right handed parts to make, etc.

Maybe I should consult with a patent attorney in the morning ?
OK, the time stamp on this post records my "original art".

That would be a switch plow. They make them with discs and shovel bottoms.
Switch Plows

I really don't know much about plows but this thread is interesting and got me googling.

Turbopiper,
Generally, I believe the discussion here is about reversible plows. The one you linked to is a one-way.

Does your name (turbopiper) indicate that you are a pilot? Just curious. I owned an old Comanche for about 12 year. Sure wish I had it back. :(

WEll, it wouldn't be the first time that I didn't know what I was talking about. I guess the word "rollover" got lost in the translation somewhere.

So your looking for these then: Plows - Acreage Equipment - Catalog - Ludens Implement

The turbopiper name came from my occupation, as a piping designer (AKA "piper"), and liking turbo modified vehicles. I don't mess with turbo stuff much anymore now.

Good luck on your search.

Ted,

Just goes to show how our "handles" can be misunderstood.
People get mine confused all the time. :D

The link you posted...
that's who I bought my plow from. They've had three of the Ford 102's that I know of.
I wish I had bought the 2nd one they had. It was in a lot better shape and more complete than the one I got but I've got mine put back into shape now. All it took was time and money. ;)

The Ford 102 they have now looks to be needing quite a lot but with time and money, it would make someone a nice plow.

Thanks Brad,
I e-mailed for a price on their "smallest" 3 bottom switch plow, but with 32 inch disks I suspect it will be HEAVY - on both the 3pt and the wallet (-:
