can you lift your seat and take another picture of your 240. I have one and some linkage is missing on mine. I have to put a piece of stiff wire there to get the lift to work.

thanks

After looking at pictures I am really impressed with your 240. I just bought a 3110D because I didn't think my 240 would support a loader. Now I feel bad. I only paid $1200 for 4 years ago. The oversized tires are great too but I would think the loader would be awkward w/o 4wd or powersteering.

goatpharmerx- This 240 was sold new with the HD front axle shown in the operator manual 'options' section. I'm not sure the standard axle would stand up to a loader as heavy as this.

The loader isn't near as awkward as you might think. I've owned heavy cars without PS ('50 Olds, '72 Wagoneer, a couple of V8 Willys Wagons) and it becomes instinct to pull some tension on the steering wheel then don't expect it to turn until the vehicle gets rolling. Easier than it sounds. Once you are moving slightly, the steering effort is reasonable.

I don't need to go in mud so the 2x4 is generally sufficient here. But once in a while I try to do the impossible, with predictable results. Did you see my post in 'Operations'?: Loader Follies

Arthur - Thanks! I love this thing. Great toy!

Mark - See! It doesn't need fresh paint!

goatpharmerx, the attached photo shows under the seat as you asked. For the linkage on the left side, there is a diagram in the YM240 operator manual and also a discussion here in the Yanmar forum today under the title 'Hydraulic/hitch labels (1700)?'.

Enjoy!

California,

Nice protection !

Could you tell me how high your ROPS measures in both folded and unfolded position with the tractor sitting on a flat surface.
This question relates to garage access.

thanks,
corey

You should be ok if your garage opening is 7 ft tall.
I wouldn't think a ym 2000 is as tall as my 3110 & it goes inside my garage. My garage door opening is only 7ft tall .If I'am careful i can go in & out of the garage with the ROPS in the up position.

I have mostly flat ground but like the idea of having the ROPS. How much are these contraptions for my YM2000 and who sells them?

Thanks!
:D
