ROPS Light brackets

That is the nice thing on mounting them there VS mounting them up top you can still fold the ROPS bar. If they were mounted up top you couldn't fold the bar as the wiring would be running along there right?

Just a note for tractor owners who run their machines in the woods a lot. These ROPS lights are really easy to damage or destroy amid branches. My easy solution... Since I don't need the lights too often, I mounted them on a 4 inch board a touch wider than the ROPS and attach them with bungee cords when needed. I just put plugs on the end of the wires and plug them into the aux light wires and go. Takes only a few minutes - and I don't have the lights up there to be damaged except when I really need to work at night.

The advantages of ROPS Lights LED Worklight kits is very easy to install no extra task like drilling and welding and not complicated wiring. more warning lights are very helpful and you can find it in any at your local store make sure it is reliable.

not the best pic, but here is what i did. just two pieces of flat stock that 'clamp' over around the ROPS. i placed watertight connectors at each fixture as well as one at the folding point of the ROPS for easy removal. i run four lights in total - front pair is on one switch and the back pair is on another.

That's one of the best ideas I've read concerning light mounting for those who spend some of their time in the wild. Even an occasional obstruction can knock heck out of the light or lens. Most of my work is in daylight, but need lights now and then.

I made these for mine.

If you have a Kubota with a folding ROPS, there are threaded bosses on the front of the ROPS near the hinge line. It's a standard metric thread. You can attach lights or brackets to that point directly with very little fuss. No need to fab up a complex bracket or clamp into the ROPS.

The bosses are intended to be used for a set screw to put pressure on the ROPS and prevent rattles, but I don't think I have ever seen that done in real life. So that leaves two nice threaded attachment points for things like lights, etc.

That is some nice work and great idea I will be doing the same!!! I wont be folding mine much but I still like the option to fold it if I need to with that plug one can fold the ROPS with a simple unplug. Thanks HeLA!!

I like those protective "boxes" around the lights... I have thought about doing the same, but using some 1/4" x 2" bar stock. And those anti-rattle bosses that s219 mentioned work fine- just how I mounted lights on my L3130, but if I remember right, I drilled and tapped another hole below as well, and make spacer plates out of some old Bakelite sheet.
