Cameron,
Ant chance of pics as you got the Ford? with ROPS and loader, so we can see the progress?

Too late for the Ford. I removed just about everything. However, I will reassemble the ROPS without the tractor and take a picture to illustrate how it will go together.
After looking at the loader and the 2010D together, it is clear I will need to trim 1/2" off each side of the loaders front brackets to fit the Yanmars frame. Additionally, the mounts at the bell housing will require fabrication of a couple of heavy steel brackets to match up to the loader brackets. Fortunately, the Yanmar is a bit narrower in the bell housing. It will be easier to add steel than to remove. I need a little advice to determine if a full frame mount is necessary for the Yanmar. I have never seen a genuine Yanmar loader mount. If anybody has one, I would really appreciate a photo of the frame mounts.
Thanks,
Cameron

ircked,

Welcome to the club. I just bought an F16 also. I bet we are having the similar issues.

Have you found tires yet? I think I am going to have to have some wheels built. Have you determined the gear ratio? I counted tire rotations and it looks like it is about 1.68. that seems quite high.
also for your info i talked to a U.S. yanmar parts dealer and he looked up the tractor that is the closest U.S. Model from the engine number. He told me it would be a YM250. The engine number I have is 3T75U-NC.

I just read your post again and I forgot to address your question regarding turf tires. I guess I am one of the few that like the rice tires. I live in the heart of the Napa Valley wine growing region with rich, deep, volcanic soil (AKA gooey mud) and the rice tires are very useful in the winter to combat mud and in the summer to get traction in loose soil. I am willing to put up with the ruts and prints for the traction. I have a set of rims and tires for sale under the parts section. Look under "Parting out a Ford 1320." I am not familiar with the rim size on your tractor, but there may be an outside chance that they would fit.
Good Luck,
Cameron

Ircked,

I am not looking for turf tires. I need the traction of the rice pattie/ag tires. But I am definately looking for a roll bar (ROPS).

My engine number is the same as yours but the part about the YM250 being the closest model is the first time I've heard that. Maybe the gearing/frame is closest to the YM250 but I think our engine is smaller. I am not an expert though. Thats listed in the site here somewhere. I will look that up.

I have been told the JD 750 is very similar to our F16 but I have not seen one yet to analyze for myself. There is a post with list of dealers somewhere in here. To find your turf tires I would call everyone of them for a start.

I think I am going to make a custom roll bar. I am meeting with the welders tomorrow and we are going to take some specs.

I would take the part about being the same as the YM250 with a grain of salt. It was a conversation with someone probably interested in just getting rid of me. I have heard about 3 different u.s. models that it is like. ym195d , len mentioned it was like the ym220.

I saw a JD 770 today with a ROPs installed and it doesn't look like it would fit a yanmar. The rops is bolted to the rear of the tractor near the pto with some kind of plate. To make the JD rops fit any Yanmar, fabrication of adaptor plates would probably be involved.

clif,

That's exactly the bolting location and set-up I wish to use and that's where the dealer said I should bolt the roll bar on my F model. The roll bar needs to have a plate on the end that attaches to 3 holes on the sides of the pto housing. The middle hole is offset to form a small triagular hole pattern.

Can you get a picture of that 770 mounting location up on the board?

Hmm? Maybe I can get a picture up of the back of the F16D and you can tell me if that's what the 770 rops mounting set-up looked like.

Here is a pic of a ROPS I have for a 186D.
