I have just the tool for you it is cheap! But you will need a building to keep it in :)

It is a swather. Based on a sickle bar mower mounted in front of a platform with reels to push the grass into the cutter. These old ones have canvas conveyors with wood slats to move all the grass to the center and form a windrow which can be baled or collected with a dump rake. No grass in the pond. The down side is that the platform is 16 feet. Is that a show stopper.

I would be willing to bet the loader is still on the tractor as required ballast so disconnecting the boom would cause the difficulties mentioned above regen works by making the bucket FAST DUMP. the way it works is when in regen hydraulic pressure is ported to BOTH sides of the cylinder. and between the bucket cylinders being unbalanced(more power/less speed one way and more speed but less power the other) and gravity it dumps fast and also keeps the floppy bucket syndrome from happening

He could move the curl circuit over to the boom so it stays up. And yes, regen gives you the fast dump not slow - got it backwards in my description. But, it seems the OP has some sort of float feature in the upward direction anyway based on his expanded explanation of how it works.

And now, after using it to cut all around my ponds, I realize that cutting is the easy part of the story. Cleaning up the mess left behind is the other part and is why I can barely walk today. Back-breaking work to fish out all the stuff in the lake and rake up all the trash left behind. I wish it would cut, then mulch! Maybe I need another attachment to do the raking. And a bigger building to keep up with my attachment collection. Does it ever end???

Do a search here for something called a pine straw rake. You might be able to back down to the pond's edge and pull out the cuttage (is that a word??) into a line, then come back at it parallel to the pond to pull it all into a pile. (then just get out your grapple to pick it all up  you know you wanted an excuse to get one anyway.)

Thanks for the video. This could not come at a better time, since I am thinking about a Rossi sickle bar mower. One of my biggest concerns is the pucker factor, since I'll be mowing around the ponds with a 5 series JD with a cab. It looks like a good mower that does a pretty good job, so it helped me decide that I'll go with the Rossi.
