I have faith in Kando and this this will be successfully resolved. He seems capable but just a little more deliberate than most of us. I'm going with happy ending on this and one day it will be posted as resolved.

Still think sucking it out with a mityvac if possible would solve the problem. Or drilling a new drain hole and fitting it with a plug.

Then if it is so stuck and inaccessible, would it not be better to drill and tap a new plug?

It's all entertaining except to the OP who has to actually solve the problem. Dealing with a steel plug in an alum pan with only a couple inches of clearance because of loader mount hardware.

you must have the wrong post in mind, since the OP has posted a picture of it, and the pan is cast iron!!.. I'd do it for free, in a few minutes, but, live in New York, much too far away.. it's amazing no one in Indiana can't do this in their sleep, it's just too easy..

What is all the rush over this drain plug. Until it is removed it does not have to be refilled.

when you need to change the oil, it's best to drain out the old oil first.. and running an engine with oil past it's time is not good..

Yes, but we've covered that he could vacuum most of it out. Or turn the tractor over and drain it.
