I keep reusing the same old peice of emory cloth on my flame sensor every winter. I just leave it lay there because I'll need it next year.

That doesn't sound good. I was told about 5 years ago that if the combustion chamber was cracked that they wasn't allowed by law to change it. I don't know it that was right or not. It was an old furnace that was having the problem, so I just went ahead and replaced it. Does anyone know if that is right or not?dullpain said:Thanks for the replies , and offers of help. Update.
This unit does not have a Flame Sensor.
It appears the combustion chamber has cracks , therfore altering the internal pressures the gas valve senses, therfore will not stay lit....
Manufacturer no longer makes replacement combustion chambers.
Still exploring options.
