I never said they were bad, actually I was not even born until the 80s so I would not know how good they were built. I don't think they were as popular as other makes of snowmobiles and I think if people are going to buy an ATV they would get Yamaha or Polaris.

"It's just Tres Crows nice way of reminding us of Kubotas superiority. "

Well, this is the Kubota forum and I always know the Green Police are just waiting to leap on me---whatever /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.
What I mean by badge enginnering is that the JD's small tractors are not made in Wisconsin but instead are built for them by their partner, Yanamar, who indeed builds a fine tractor to JD specs. I would not hesitate to buy one but at the time I bought my two tractors JD did not have anything to compare them with. Now they do so if I were buying them today I certainly would give the JD units a spin /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Nonetheless, I think it is a superior way of controlling quality and a buisness trait that is diminishing everywhere these days---to build your own stuff with your own engines and transmissions and then put your name on it, not someone elses. Yeah, I think that is superior and have no qualms in saying so--I am not Tractor PC. We buy what we buy cuz there is something in particular about a given brand or even a particular tractor that we find important. I found that in Kubota. If Kubotas were made in Germany or were owned by an Italian or French company, would there be so much anti-Kubota sentiment, just a thought. This anti Japanese stuff get's old real fast. Since this is the Kubota forum, I think it is OK to say I like Kubotas best /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. J

Same ballpark price as the Mule, that's their main target...the current Gator is no competition.

My dealer said the new utility would be HST with a true hyd. dump on the bed, not elect/over hyd. as some are, and would sell for around 8k.

If it was in Germany and owned by the French, I would have A LOT of anti-Kubota sentiment. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
