I was wondering if anybody had some ideas on moving a tractor in the snow slush and salt. I have a 14' skidloader trailer. I thought about putting a tarp over the tractor, but the trailer has a wood deck with about 2'' gaps between the boards. And I would think even if I cover the top, I would still get a lot from underneath. And the tarp beating up the tractor. Or just wait for spring. :(

I'm not sure I understand your question. wait till the roads are dry and you will be fine and any cover you put on it will damage your paint going down the highway at speed

Try and keep it under a hundred and it should be ok!

Seriously, don't worry about it. Just wash it off when you get home.

If this is a one time move, place a few osb/plywood panels down on the deck to solidify the deck, then buy a 4 foot roll of stretch wrap and wrap the entire tractor like they do with large pallets of material.

For everyday moves, like John said, hose it down.

I want to use my tractor more on my land about 45min. away. But I still need it at home so it would be a weekend thing. With all the road salt that the highway departments use the roads are a constant mess of slush and salt, until we get the first good spring rain. And washing it doesn't seam like much of an option with temps from the teens to below zero. ( no heated garage yet ) I like the plywood idea on th bed, I have enough scrap to do that.
