S15 (ULSD), S500 (LSD) and S5000 diesel fuel

Wow, I wonder if all our North American diesel engines have choked on their ULSD?

Can you imagine seeing millions upon millions of destroyed diesels lining the freeways from North to South & East to West after they were all weaned off of sulfur? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I did just fill up this week and used ULSD in the Kubota L-3130 and L-39 as well as three on road vehicles and I didn't notice anything different except that the price went down about $0.15 compared to the previous high sulfur diesel fuel week. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Yea, its funny how the uncertainty can cause people to freak /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif.... Like I've said before its highly unlikely that the oil industry would make diesel owners sell all of their engines to be able to use this new ULSD because they dont make fuel for the old engines.. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif...

What do you want to bet that the whole high diesel price hike since the hurricanes was in anticipation for this day?? Now, you think its a deal to get this lower priced ULSD /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.. We all know it takes more to refine...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mad, to my understanding California has been like that for about 2yrs.. I dont have the facts in front of me, but thats about how long we've been hearing about it and how we dont have the same issues with ULSD as with LSD.. And apparently, they havent had any adverse effects from the fuel either... Overall I think this is a good day for diesel, we'll see how the future goes...

Most of Texas has had ULSD the past two years too, but I've only had it for one week now.

Apparently the legendary ULSD no sulfur scare has gone the way of the Y2K paranoia.....LOL /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

This may be a little off topic, but I wonder if we will see the "Nozzle size" solution for diesels like we did when leaded gasoline was being phased out? I still remember the little $.15 "adapters" that a lot of stations sold to let you put the Regular nozzle in an "unleaded" tank neck.

The fine for the retail sale of contaminated ULSD having a sulfur concentration over 15ppm is $32,500 per day per pump.....that sounds like a good incentive for retail outlets to obey the law! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
