Thanks for your concern, there wasn't a shoot out or anything dramatic with the neighbor/fence melodrama, I just took my wife to see her mom (92) and participate in a surprise birthday party (with cake and icecream) for her aunt (her mother's sister) 90th birth day. Iowa in summer is like Oklahoma but with older and much neater looking barns and a lot more corn. Also visited the bridges of Madison County, as in the Clint Eastwood movie (not really that neat even for a camera/photo buff but luckily we were passing by. Also went to Mr. Morrison's (AKA John Wayne) birthplace/first home (same excuse).

Unfortunately the beat goes on... Before leaving for Iowa I put up a bunch of POSTED no xxxx signs. My wife put one up on the impromptu gate my neighbor used to acces our land. On our return she noted that it had been partially melted (someone tried and failed to set it on fire) torn down, wadded up, and thrown on the ground. Of course to see the sign much less get to it to vandelize it you would have to tresspass more than just a few yards.

Thanks for the sentiment B U T I wouldn't want to sacrifice a dog to his marksmanship or poison. I keep hoping some strange but natural event will happen like a couple ton chunk of ice falling out of the sky or a few ounces of stony/metallic meteorite, something banal like an errant 18 wheeler would suffice or a student pilot or....
