Sales at TSC?

I was in the "big city" over the weekend and stopped by TSC to price the 60" King Kutter rotary cutter. The price didn't seem out of line for a piece of equipment that several people on here have stated does an adequate job. Being one that likes to save pennies when possible, my question is does TSC ever run sales on their implements? The TSC is an hour away so I don't get fliers, do they advertise their sales on their website?

I shop at TSC now and then (was very happy with my 4" brush hog) and have a TSC credit card. I never get anything indicating a sale, but if a new store opens up in the area, they always give you xx% off on purchases I think over $300. Normally all the stores will run the sale as a grand opening for the new one.
The TSC sales rep told me to hold off for a couple weeks buying something until a new store opened he knew about.

Yes they do feature their sales flyer on their web site, just be aware that not all stores have sales that are in the flyer- if you punch in your zip code they will give you the location of the nearest store and the sales for that store, if you register they will e-mail you when they put out their sales flyer.
Early Spring is when I see their implements in the flyer

They DO put stuff on sale. Bought my spreader last spring regularly $369(?). Had it on sale for $296(?) and then got an additional 10%(?) off for apply for and using a TSC credit card. Nice spreader ended up being in the $260's price range. I had to get some other stuff that (even an extra 10%) off bumped it a hair over $300 to make the limit.

We don't have a TSC here in Oregon. I get the impression that folks who do have one nearby like them pretty well?

My wife says its a guy thing, but her and my kids manage to spend a lot of time and money in the horse section. It has hardware, feed , animal supplies (including Vet/medical), fencing, tools, western clothing, tractor parts all under one roof, but still be small enough to know the employees.

TSC is OK but they carry a lot more Chinese stuff than the old Quality Farm & Fleet and seem to have a smaller selection in the building supply area.

I second Darren's opinion. Our's used to be Central Tractor which carried top of the line supplies and had an outstanding electrical and plumbing section. Now TSC doesn't have that stuff and their tools and such are Chinese ripoffs. They do keep a good stock of toys...I mean implements, though. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I 3rd the statement that TSC is OK but I think Quality Farm & Fleet had better stuff at a better price and more of it... TSC moved into the Qfarm & fleet stores around here but then carried the less used stuff (unless you are into lots of horse stuff! but also animal husbendry stuff too!)
