Attached is a modification I made for my arena drag. The groomer has two sets of teeth (not in picture) that scarify the footing, then the spiked roller rolls it flat. The problem was we have sand footing and when it's wet it sticks to the spiked roller, building up until the spikes are covered, then the roller doesn't turn and leaves an irregular pattern behind it depending on the shape of the build up. I used some 1 1/2 square tube and some 3 inch flat stock, cut each piece to size and welded it in place. Now the sand gets scraped off by the blade and doesn't build up. About a 6 hour project.
