Dang i hate that. The guy was hilarious. I dont see how he had the time though to be on here as much as he did with as much stuff as he seemed to have going on?

Maybe he will come back, i might send him a pm? Any event that led to him not coming back that we know of?

He is the reason i have all this crap in my sig line! I read his and sent him a PM telling him that was the kind of humor i liked, he said yea i did it cause all those that are so serious listing all thier stuff, i just had to do it to make fun of them.

So kind of copied it and listed about everything off the top of my head yard related.

easy.. use an older atf.. like type f.

as far as napth goes. I think on a micro level it can be classified as a lubricant..

Naptha is most definitely chemically a solvent.

a chemical can be many things on many levels. look at water.

also remember naptha covers a range of light to heavy hydrocarbons.. etc..

read up on CAS # 64742-30-9, Distillates (petroleum), chemically neutralized middle, mineral seal oil

Seafoam has been a great tool for me over the years. I will have to try the STP product and see how it compares. The price is attractive if it does the same job. I guess they are using a little different approach with the use of diphenylamine? I am certainly no chemical guy. Interesting about the use of it in apple storage. I will have to ask my neighbor if he uses it in his apple orchard.

Naptha may be many things, but among those things, it is a solvent.

Gasoline is also a solvent. Sometimes gasoline is used as a thinner for spraying paint. Toluene which is rather toxic and the more less to ic xylene are definitely paint thinners and classed in the gasoline family.

exactly. in fact mineral spirits and naptha fall in that range near gas..

like um.. white gas.. :)

esy to look at the boiling point range of the materials from light to heavy that fall in the naptha's range.

lots of variables.. parrifin content.. etc.. etc..
