Yup, it is crap. That define it for you enough? Juiced up your truck. As you stated OMG...that will get the girls now driving around.

I have used Seafoam many times with good results. It is not crap. Is it the best? I don't know..I'd like the best. I will be on the lookout for Amsoil foam, not above trying it, but Seafoam is not crap, and has been a useful product for me.

I am not one of those folks who could have done just as well draining water out of the bowl. I have rebuilt several carbs a year since childhood, and it is my goal not to have to go into one, since it is my nature to be far too meticulous about work of that type. If Seafoam can bale me out of some of that, and sometimes it really can, I am in favor of it.

There is no use to run down a product just because you think you know of a better one. We know Seafoam is not crap. I for one am all ears to hear all of the better alternatives, but discrediting what I know to have been helpful to me is a bad way to start. I'd rather hear why Amsoil is better.

Well said and I agree

I'd rather hear why Amsoil is better.

especially if cheaper.

I chased the stp msds down.. that let us see what was in it. we already knew what was in seafoam.

anyone got the msds from the amsoil product.

might as well discuss it.

I'm not above trying new stuff either.. especially if it works as good or better and is cheaper.

i too have had good luck with seafoam on small engines especially...

heck.. maybee the mineral oil keeps the flaot valve from sticking.. who knows.. :)

Then all that gasoline in the fuel system should be all the solvent needed. If you want to get really fancy, use various brands of gasoline to obtain different blends.

You do not seem to be aware of what happens to gasoline to cause the carb problems. I doubt it can be considered gasoline once it causes the problem.

Yup, banned for a shorttime till HE asked to come back..Anyone on FF knows that, years ago...Since I am "new" here, a JOKE here, Junkman made a new forum and well. Funny how all the new comers do not know the history but nail certain people...

Why should we have to know the history to interact with you in a productive and pleasant manner? I liked reading Junkman's stuff and Dargo's too. I look forward to liking yours in the future as well.

Here is the MSDS for the Amsoil Power Foam product. http://www.amsoil.com/msds/apf.pdf . It too uses naphtha for a solvent. Looks like they use morpholine for antirust.

as bad as naptha has been talked about.. looks like it's pretty usefull.. :)
