Hello TMTS,
We use Rexroth motors on our machines also (variable displacement, axial-piston type). From what I understand, whenever a seal blows on our motor, it's because of a back pressure on the drain line that is higher than the seal can take.
Such back pressure may happens when:
- the drain line coupler disconnects (as oil has nowhere to go, pressure rises and seal blows);
- the drain connects to a drain line that is not big enough;
- the filter on the drain line gets clogged;
- the drain line connects with some other line that might cause back pressure (connecting a drain line with a return line is usually not a good idea for this reason, but I doubt ASV would do such thing);
If none of these reasons apply to your situation, then I hope your Fecon and ASV technicians will be able to find what might cause that back pressure. Let us know what they find: it might be usefull to diagnose similar problems in the future.
Good luck
FD
