I can't imagine 400 lbs of ANY grass seed per acre. I re-did several waterways and filter strips at dads farm before we sold it (after his death) We seeded according to state dept ofAG specs. (Fescue mix @ 25 lbs per acres) it came up thick and healthy.
400 lbs per acre is a tad over-kill.
