no adjustments on the selector valve. i did take it appart and the spools move freely no trash or casting flash. has anyone else taken their selector valve appart? the internal ports look only to be about 3/16 in diameter....al

i no longer have the valve. i shipped it back to SC. either the valve wont flow its rated 15 GPM or it has a problem that i cant see. i shipped it back to SC. i am waiting to hear what they have to say about it. there is no refund because i have installed it. its a warranty repair thing now. if they say its 100 percent ok then i will go with the bigger valve and have the small one for sale.....i will advise what they have to say.
thanks to everyone for sticking with me on this and walking me through all the stepts. so much to learn.......al

Al keep us posted on what SC has to say. I wonder if they have a way to test your valve. If they are going to replace your valve I would see if they would take the price of your valve off the price of the larger valve. I would also check with your kubota dealer on the flow of your pump. It wouldn't be the first time a manual was wrong.

SC returned the selector valve to me and I received it on the 9th without any explanation as to the results of their findings. I called on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of that week several times before getting to talk anyone that had any knowledge of the results found. I at last got the right man Friday afternoon and was told the valve tested 100 percent o.k. and it was returned to me.

I reinstalled the selector valve again and no change in operation. I removed the selector valve and called SC again and expressed my displeasure. It tested o.k., but for some reason restricts flow on my tractor. SC wanted to know what would make me happy. I told them I wanted my money back as the valve doesn稚 flow the advertised GPM. They said o.k. and have mailed me a check for the valve and the shipping. SC also told me to just keep the valve and not return it as it was not in saleable condition because it was now used.

So..... I got my money back and I have the valve. SC has gone beyond just good service. I can not express how well I was treated by SC during this drawn-out process. I guess Im happy? I have been financially restored but I have a $3400 grapple that I cant use at the present time?.SC is not to blame for this however.

It looks like I may have to call my Kubota dealer and have them recommend a valve for me. Any ideas?.......al

jurden,

Glad to hear they treated you good. On the valve thing. Did you ever do a valve flow test your self, like hooking the valve up and putting the hyd hose in a bucket and seeing how many GPM was actually flowing out the lines. Your tractor is only producing 17 GPM at max rpm. At idle, it is only pumping several GPM. There are some fittings that are built with restrictors, have you checked to make sure you have unrestricted fitting.

Could you post a pic of how you have it plumed. Maybe you are overlooking something someone else may notice.
