Setting Log Splitter Relief Pressure? - JD Tractor

Since you breathed life into this 8+ yr old thread I'll state that a very important fact was overlooked in the original posts in that the splitter valve needs to be set up for CLOSED-CENTER hyd's if splitter has a control valve to operate correctly on a JD 2355. Also I'm unaware that JD 2355 could have ""2800 psi standby hyd pressure"". Tractordata states JD 2355 standby pressure at 2250 psi. Relief valve on spitter should be set at or a little above tractor standby pressure

Anything is possible in these forums but I didn't believe the high psi pump pressure on the JD either. Isn't it a happy coincidence that the factory default relief on splitter valves is also 2250. Buddy should have just hooked it up and tinkered with settings after testing if needed.
