Seven words you can't say on TV (or TBN)

I used to be a fan of George Carlin until I watched his last special on HBO. It has a 2008 copyright on it so it must of been shortly before his death back in June.

It sounded like he turned from just being an irreverent comedian to a downright bitter old man.

And I too am shocked at the way teenagers use the language without regard for those around them.

Carlin and Pryor could cuss up a storm and it was natural, funny and for me not, offensive. Eddie Murphy tried to be like Pryor but was not funny and very offensive.

I don't see cuss words in email. That would be strange.

Unless one was talking politics!:D:D:D:D:D:D

Later,
Dan

Have to laugh.

As a teenager, my father and I had a "hate-hate" relationship. One time we were changing a car tire. Long story, he almost ended up killing me with the tire iron, chasing me around the garage letting some few choice words out. I run back to the house letting a few choice words out myself when my mother comes out to see what all the commotion was. My mother chastised me for using some choice words and told me "you never hear your father curse so why should you!".

I swear, my father NEVER cursed around my mom, but boy, could he let me have it at times when my mom wasn't around.

I still love him dearly:D

I really have an excuse for cussing. My uncle sat me down and taught me every cuss word he knew, and I was very young, about age 7, I think. . I have used them non-sparingly on occasion. Although I know when to keep my mouth shut, they will slip out , and it does embarrass me. It is tough sometimes to control the swearing and cussing, but it can be done.

Just thought I would share this as well that came through.

It is so funny at times, when I crawl out of the world I live in, and see it from the other side.

Had a saleslady one time after she got to know me better confess that she kept wondering if I was a total idiot or not because I kept calling her Roger.

The word of the day is Hooah and here are a couple of the various definitions of it.

hooah (hoo ah) adj., adv., n., v., conj., interj., excla. [Orig. unknown] Slang. 1. Referring to or meaning anything and everything except "no". 2. What to say when at a loss for words. 3.a. Good copy. b. Roger. c. Solid copy. d. Good. e. Great. f. Message received. g. Understood. h. Acknowledged. 4.a. Glad to meet you. b. Welcome. 5. "All right!" 6.a. I don't know the answer, but I'll check on it. b. I haven't the foggiest idea. 7. I am not listening. 8. "That is enough of your drivel; sit down!" 9. Yes. 10. "You've got to be kidding me!" 11. Thank you. 12. Go to the next slide. 13. You've taken the correct action. 14. I don't know what that means, but I'm too embarassed to ask for clarification. 15. Squared away (He's pretty hooah.) 16. Amen!

For those of you that have not yet, take the time to rent / watch the movie Blackhawk down. I have not seen any of the new ones come out yet to match the realism shown there.

When I worked for Huffman Construction out of Poplar Bluff Mo. I was an operator but I did all the mechanic work when it arose. I went into the office trailer to call in a parts order to the Komatsu dealers and was embarrassed by the secretary's language while i was on the phone. I asked her to hold it down and she threatened to throw me out of the office. Well one day she was in there and the owner came by for a site inspection and had his little boy in the blueprint room on the other end of the trailer she came in her part swearing up and down every other breath and thats when it hit the fan.
I dont usually embaras easily, I have used swearing to get things speeded up in places like the power company office when they wouldnt change my billing over in my name without a 500 dollar deposit. I went in to get it either sent to my house still under my parents name of changed to mine. I even had my divorced parent there to sign a document that it was ok to leave their names on my bill just send it to my house. It was busy and after several tries I blew a gasket and drew all the attention over to my line But I got it switched over to my name without one cent being passed over.
