I wonder how much of that $11,000 was from "post theft inflation". Not that I'd blame him. I probably would have done the same thing.

It does lead to a question though... Who stores that much gold in a storage container?

Sounds like my dad. Had RWD Volvos since he bought a trailer to deliver the pedigree gelts he bred to their respective customers (he bought a 2.3 liter V6 Ford Taunus first, but it ran 80kmh in 3rd and then dropped to 60 in 4th) the local used car salesman told him: You need a Volvo, cylinders dont matter. Drop it to 50kmh in 5th, when you step on it, you should feel the power swell on when it picks up, if it jolts and stutters, its no good for a trailer.

Anyways, after 25 years and four Volvos he got a Camry, because my mother wanted low mileage and people just didnt sell their 850 in the early 2000s unless it had high mileage. (Really, there were no 850s with less than 350.000km or 220.000miles back then) Their last Volvo, a 740 diesel TIC, lost compression at 360.000km (i have never bought a Volvo 850/S70/V70 with less than that, and what i dont pay in writeoff i pay half in repair and maintenance) but hey, that 2.4 inline six was a dog... Volvos 2.3 gassers easily outlived it twice, just like the 2.5 TDI i had in my 850)
