Ya, minimum speed is 40 unless otherwise posted, usually 45 then.
Any towed implements on a public road behind a licensed vehicle need tags I believe. Would have been fine on a side road behind a tractor, but not a truck.
NY is the same way. Here, that also includes tow dollies, cement mixers, etc. The caveat here is that you cannot store anything in it (ie: no toolboxes built into or on the trailer unless they are empty) or it has to be plated.That varies by state,,,
In Virginia, ANY single purpose trailer does not need tags,
Items such as wood splitters, air compressors,,, etc are included.
The rental places are loaded with stuff like that, high lifts, steam cleaners, stump grinders,,,
all with no tags.

I just added the 50 gallon tank for diesel. (TSC had a 15% off anything day,,, I was hooked :thumbsup: )
The tanks are bolted down.
No lights, the only plate is a Farm Bureau Insurance "Farm Use" tag.
