Hogwash.

Your 2013 F-150 has the exact same frame as any other 2013 F-150. Ford did not build any "special" frames for extra-special F-150's. Yours got different brakes, wheels/tires and suspension bolted on. That's it.

My "not special" 2012 F-250 beats your CCC by 1000 pounds. And mine is as plain jane an F-250 as you could get in '12.

Doesn't mean you can't tow with it. But no need for the BS.
No BS, lack of info on your part.

You need to do some additional research. The frame is a heavier gauge.

LD frame at .87 (6500 GVWR and there abouts)
HD frame at .10 (7000 GVWR and there abouts)
HP/HDPP frame at .11 (7800 GVWR and there abouts)

But not all 1/2 tons are the same.
That's for sure.

I would much rather tow with a late '70s GM 1/2-ton than a '14-up Ram 1500 (don't remember when they came out with the rear coil springs).

Heck, GM even had a Heavy Half, not that I remember what those consisted of.
Reminds me of the first pickup I bought here, a '76 GMC Bonus Cab.

Didn't know what that all meant until later, all I knew was that instead of having a rear seat like the typical 3+3, the Bonus Cab did not. Which was fine with me.

Later I found out that while it was a 3/4-ton, all the suspension stuff in the rear was 1-ton parts. That was even finer with me.

Speaking of heavy-halfs, I sure wish that rumored F200 was real with an ICE engine.

This has to be a freaking nightmare!!
Not at all! I spent many years there, and back and forth, and can tell you without reservation... their way is better.

Considering how some people drive now when the passing lane is only going 10 mph faster than the slow lane, I can just imagine if trucks were restricted to 50, while cars were still allowed to drive 70 so some feel they can do 90.
Passing lane laws are strictly enforced, and even more strictly followed. Germans tend to be rule-followers, good or bad. The ticket cost for driving in left lane, or passing on the right, was $700 way back in 1996... renze may know the current cost better than me.

Rule followers, yes. Toeing the line and taking every exception or omission also yes.

For toll highways, the speed limit is 120 km/h for a pick up truck, passenger car, van, etc. If I'm towing my trailer, that speed limit drops to 100 km/h.

For, what we call national roads, the limit is 90 km/h and with a trailer, it would drop to 70 km/h.

Ford does make two different frames and one is heavier duty. It’s not necessarily just for towing as it’s put under certain trucks such as longer setups and cabs that would be heavier.

So let's see;
120 km/h = 74.56 mph
100 km/h = 62 mph
90 km/h = 55.9 mph
70 km/h = 43.5

And here in the state of NY most toll or controlled highways are 65 mph,
the legal limit on an unposted road is 55 mph,
most highways out of the cities, towns and villages are 55 mph,
most of our rural roads will vary from 35, 40 or 45 mph.
65 mph = 104 km/h
55 mph = 88.5 km/h
45 mph = 72.4 km/h
35 mph = 56.3 km/h
and then a lot of towns are 30 mph
30 mph = 48.3 km/h

I made a short run yesterday from my place to my daughters,
about 60 miles. The section of I87 (the Northway) that I ran was posted at 65 mph,
I set my cruise for 70 mph and traveled mainly in the far right lane and was passed by over a 100 vehicles some at 20 mph faster then I was going, I believe I passed about 6 vehicles in that time.

20 years ago we had a ferry to catch after a traffic jam. With a Volvo 440 1.9 turbodiesel, 90hp. We were speeding at 190kmh when there was a matt black Merc AMG flashed his lights behind me, meaning i was holding him up in the left lane. I blended in the middle lane at 160kmh, and two more matt black AMGs passed with 250kmh.
When i hit the throttle again, i heard pheoww... and we were dead in the water. Not untill we slowed down to 120kmh i could feel anything happen when i hit the throttle. Turned out the intercooler hose tore lengthwise, front to back.

I have no idea, i dont use the left lane to go sightseeing. Last year in Germany i hit 220kmh before i got a vibration in the steering wheel and an ABS error message. My tires apparently werent up to this speed, though there were no visible signs of ply breaks. Rest of the way i stuck to 140kmh, and i wont have Michelin tires again, they all dry rot too soon nowadays.

Anyways, i still havent tried the V70s top speed yet. The S70 just ran out of RPM instead of out of power, at 4000rpm the power curve of that 2.5 TDI topped off, with a taller gear it could surpass 200kmh i think. I mean it had 50 horse more than that 440.
The V70 is a six speed, it was still accelerating at 220kmh.

Most of the 35.000km i make annually are 90kmh on a provincial road, always above 50 mpg. So when i hit the Autobahn, i want to clear its throat and see what its got 😏👌
